FileMaker Pro and Y2K Even if you've upgraded to the Y2K-compliant version of FileMaker Pro, you should check out web pages from FileMaker Today and UC Berkeley. They offer useful tips and suggest a few glitches may still remain. (Thanks, Aron Roberts.)
Update: Donna Ellis writes: "The FileMaker Today article was written in May 1999, before FileMaker released updated versions of FileMaker that are reportedly Y2K Compliant. The downloadable test module should now indicate if the problem has been corrected (if dates do not change, the updates corrected the problem...if the dates do change then you would need to install the latest upgrade)."

Photoshop 5.5 Kodak extension causes crashes? Two readers (James Hanley and Ira Helfer) report getting system crashes (especially Type 11 errors) due to the Kodak Precision Color Extension included with the Photoshop 5.5. update. James got the crash, not in Photoshop itself, but when using Freehand (removing the Kodak extension eliminated the crash). Ira got the crash on launch, when the Kodak extension loaded; the cause of the crash was a conflict between the Kodak extension and PopChar 2.52.

SoundJam/G3 conflict: a follow-up Recently, we reported a conflict between SoundJam 1.1 and the Sonnet Crescendo G3 upgrade. Another reader found essentially the same problem on a Power Mac 7100 using a Newer MAXpowr G3 250MHz upgrade.

Update: A couple of readers now report SoundJam 1.1 and Sonnet Crescendo working well together. The problem, as initially suggested, may be primarily restricted to NuBus Macs.
