Steve Jobs will give the Expo keynote A MacWEEK article notes that Steve Jobs, once again, will deliver the keynote address at January's Macworld Expo.

QuickTime for Windows fix Microsoft has posted a fix for the QuickTime for Windows problem. This is the problem that an Apple executive claimed in court was caused by a deliberate attempt by Microsoft to sabotage QuickTime on Windows (see previous report). Microsoft claims that the problem is due to the QuickTime code itself, but that their patch fixes it. "Apple's shoot-from-the-hip allegations and their decision to blame their own development mistakes on Microsoft in a court of law is not only wrong, but is harmful to the entire software industry, and more importantly it's harmful to our mutual customers," said Tod Nielsen, General Manager of Microsoft's Developer Relations Group.
