Stars Take a Shine to Apple Wired News reports on celebrity sightings and interaction at Apple retail stores in the Los Angeles area. "Apple has four retail stores in the Los Angeles area, which give the sales associates ample opportunity to rub elbows with Hollywood celebrities. It isn't always pleasant. Out of respect for the celebrities' privacy, Apple forbids the stores' sales associates from talking to the press. But that hasn't stopped several staffers from sharing their celebrity anecdotes with Wired News -- stories that reveal Tinseltown's good, bad and ugly." More.

The beauty of KVM The New York Times reports on the utility of KVM switches, which can be used to easily switch between active PC and Mac systems using the same keyboard and monitor. When Steve Jobs, Apple's chief executive, introduced the $499 Mac Mini in January, he called it a "bring your own display, keyboard and mouse" machine. Implicit in that characterization is that the Mini is meant to appeal in part to PC owners who may want to give Apple a try and who already have those peripherals connected to their Windows machines. [...] What you need, besides the two machines, is a KVM switch, a device that permits you to use a single keyboard, monitor and mouse with two or more machines." More.

CompUSA Apple Users Event Open House CompUSA and Apple will hold "Open House" events at CompUSA locations throughout the United States on February, 24th from 4 PM - 9 PM. More.
