MSN Coming to Mac OS X CNET reports that Microsoft is finally taking the plunge on providing a Macintosh version of its MSN Internet service. Although the company is still finalizing many of the details of the program, Microsoft executive Tim McDonough said the company's plans already include using elements of its Entourage program for handling e-mail and providing a customized browser based on Internet Explorer 5.2 for the Mac. NYT reviews Jaguar David Pogue has reviewed Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) for the New York Times. An excerpt: "Don't be fooled by the small increase in the version number. This is a polished, innovative and - if such a term can be applied to something as nerdy as an operating system - exciting upgrade." More.

Sprint PCS Vision Evaluation Walt Mossberg has evaluated the recently launched Sprint PCS Vision network for the Wall Street Journal. "This month, Sprint introduced nationwide its higher-speed network, called PCS Vision, and I've been testing it for several weeks using a variety of devices, including a souped-up Samsung voice phone that can take pictures and transmit them to the Web, a new Sprint version of Handspring's Treo combination phone/PDA, and a card you plug into a laptop to connect it to the Internet wirelessly."
