Reminder: Apple's 2nd quarter conference call Apple will Webcast its conference call with analysts when it reports Q2 performance numbers today at 5 PM Eastern. Upside today predicts what Apple will report.

Toast Titanium 5.0.1 is out. (See previous one and two.) This version adds iTunes and Disk burner compatibility, fixes minor compatibility issues with the Apple SuperDrive, and will now allow you to use your built in CD-RW drive as the source and destination in the Copy format. This update does not affect functionality in OS X. Please see the Toast 5.0.1 readme (included in the update) for details.

SoundJam MP Plus 2.5.3 is a Mac OS 9 MP3 player/encoder. This update adds support for the new Rio 800 and several bug fixes including a problem which could affect the right-channel playback of some MP3 files.

Adobe subcontractor files for bankruptcy protection Adobe announced that the company which it uses to package its U.S. software for distribution has filed for bankruptcy, and while it does not expect the problem to affect users, there is a slight risk it could disrupt operations.

FireWire Depot: beware of similar domain names FireWire Direct (firewiredirect.com), which is a different company than FireWire Depot (fwdepot.com), appears to have acquired the domain name "firewiredepot.com" and is using it as an alias to the firewiredirect.com address.

Steve Jobs to Kick Off WWDC with "fireside chat." Apple has announced that Steve Jobs will speak with developers at the beginning of this year's World Wide Developer's Conference.
