Multiple Users control panel 1.4.1: a follow-up

CNET staff
We have two new items today about the recent Multiple Users control panel 1.4.1 update (also see previous coverage one and two):

Additional features Jo Davidson notes two additional features: an option to lock the screen or log out a user who has been idle for a number of minutes, and the ability to auto login if only one user exists.

Timbuktu conflict Vince Ferri found that MultiUser 1.4.1 seems to prevent Timbuktu from accessing a machine on which it is installed even when AppleTalk File Sharing is installed and Timbuktu AppleTalk access is enabled. The problem prevents access to the Timbuktu log-on window, and usually occurs on the second and subsequent connection attempts. The first attempt works fine. He writes: "I'm running MacOS 9.1 on a Lombard and a Pismo; access between these two machines is via an AirPort network. I can still access two iMacs that have not been upgraded."
