Microsoft Bookshelf 98 conflict with Mac OS 8.x?

Ray Carney writes: "I bought the new version of MS Bookshelf ('98) but couldn't get it to run on my Power Macintosh 9600. Microsoft tech support told him that the program will not run with either Mac OS 8.0 or 8.1 (due to 'memory issues') and that there are no plans to fix it.

We previously reported (back in January) a slow launch problem with Bookshelf. This may be related to the current report. In any event, the problem is still not fixed.

On the other hand, several readers now report using Bookshelf without any problem at all.
