MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo (Late 2006) (#6): Display flickering
Several users are reporting an issue where their MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo (Late 2006) displays flicker or suffer from appearance of horizontal distortion lines. This issue is reminiscent of a problem that plagued some iBook G4s, generally resolved by logic board replacement.
MacFixIt reader Fred Ng has posted both a movie and an image depicting the problem.
Fred writes:
"As you can see from the video, the screen flickers so much that it is unusable, but upon reboot everything goes back to normal. It has happened 3 times in the past 4 days, but I can't reproduce it readily."
If you are experiencing a similar issue, please let us know.
