iSync 2.1 (#2): Problems with Bluetooth

CNET staff

Problems with Bluetooth A number of readers report loss of Bluetooth connectivity after applying the iSync 2.1 update.

For some users, re-running the Bluetooth Setup Assistant solves this problem. You can launch the Bluetooth Setup Assistant by opening the "Bluetooth" pane in System Preferences, clicking the "Devices" tab, then selecting "Set up new device."

MacFixIt reader Andrew Freeman had success with this workaround. He writes:

"I installed the (iSync 2.1) update and was unable to sync with my Motorola V551. I was able to communicate with the phone via bluetooth file exchange, which I had previously done with this phone in the past. After re-running bluetooth setup assistant and adding this phone again, I was able to successfully sync."
