iSub distortion and Apple Audio Extension William Alworth kept getting distorted sound from his iSub (running Mac OS 9.0.4 and latest updates). He found that disabling the Apple Audio Extension remedied the problem. "However, the iSub then acts a little differently. The subwoofer slider goes all the way to the top and the volume curves are a little different. When increasing the volume, the subwoofer gets much louder than the high end."
