EditDV freeze: a solution Do you use EditDV 1.61? Do you get a freeze when rendering effects or compiling QT movies? If so, this MacFixIt Forums thread has the likely solution.

Forums errors fixed? Following the server crash on Wednesday, users reported occasionally getting server errors when trying to post messages or do a search in the Forums. We think we have now fixed most of these problems (after getting no sleep last night!). It's a separate issue from the more general site-wide crashes we had this week, although the crashes precipitated the problem. We hope to have the Forums completely fixed by the week-end. If problems persist, let us know.

By the way, if you do get an error when trying to post a message, do not try to post it again. It probably got posted despite the error; trying to post again will just lead to duplicates.
