Eudora 4.0.2 Check Mail problem linked to Open Transport

Barry Breen discovered a problem with Eudora Pro 4.0.2's Check Mail feature: "The Automatic Mail Checking function under the Settings menu does not operate when set to a value of greater than 5 minutes (when set to a value greater than 5 minutes, even manual checking doesn't work unless you close and reopen Eudora - the problem then occurs again)." He wrote to Qualcomm about this and they replied: "It is a known bug in OT 2.0.1. We have a bug report in with Apple. We have done all the tweaks we can in the latest beta of Eudora Pro for Macintosh 4.1 beta."

Update: Eric Westby and Jeramey Valley both have Eudora 4.0.2 set to check mail every 10 minutes. Neither one has had any problems.
