Epson RIP problem and solution

CNET staff
Brian Nelson writes: "I had have had problems sending files, via the Ethernet network through a 7300/200 acting as a RIP machine for an Epson Stylus 3000. The problem was that print jobs would go directly to the Epson 3000 via the network, without going through the RIP (Epson AT). Epson tech support said to discard the 'CPS Pref' file in the RIP folder. This solved the problem."

Update: Jamie Peloquin writes: "Another way to get a second machine to serve as a RIP is to remove your PrintMonitor Documents folder and replace it with an alias from the PrintMonitor Documents folder on the RIP machine. All of our jobs will then spool right to the RIP machine."
