Newer FireWire 2 Go PC card and Final Cut Pro When using the Newer FireWire 2 Go PC card in the PowerBook G3 Series, do not put the card away while Final Cut Pro is active (#58458). Apple also advises to disable the PowerBook's Energy Saver before using this card and Final Cut Pro (#58452); this is because, in some instances, when the PowerBook G3 Series goes to sleep while capturing digital video, the Final Cut Pro video image in the Log and Capture window is lost.

More generally, note that, unlike built-in FireWire, the Newer FireWire 2 Go PC card does not supply power to FireWire devices (#58459).
