problem installing update noted; solution offered Adobe GoLive 4.0.1 Update fixes several problems that occur with Adobe GoLive 4.0. GoLive 4.0.1 delivers improved overall stability and usability, especially with Mac OS 8.6.

Georgann Chenault claims: "The Apple font fix, Font Manager Update 1.0, will alter resources in GoLive 4.0 such that the GoLive 4.01 updater will fail. The 4.01 updater messages include 'error icns -16455 resource has been modified...and...has prevented the update from being completed.'  The 4.01 update appears to complete successfully but the application is effectively disabled and will not launch. To correct you must do a clean install of GoLive 4.0 and then update to 4.01."
