Adaptec SCSI PCI Card and G3 card conflicts: a follow-up

Concerning the Adaptec SCSI PCI card and its conflict with the Sonnet G3 card (mentioned last time), the Adaptec card can have problems with other G3 cards as well (thanks, Donald Wiggins and Frederic Kayser). Especially note the following for the PowerLogix FAQ:

"There is only one intermittent incompatibility which affects about 5% of end users with PowerForce cards: the Adaptec 2940UW SCSI cards. The symptom is not being able to mount the drive(s) connected to the Adaptec card when running in Wide Mode. The drive attempts to mount, but eventually times out. The Adaptec is 100% compatible when used in Narrow Mode."
