A couple of QuickTime 3.0 issues

QuickTime 3.0 and ClearPhone problem Robert Blumenkranz (of ClearPhone) writes: "Since the release of QuickTime 3.0 and ClearPhonePro 5, several ClearPhone users have reported that they cannot send audio with ClearPhone. This audio problem shows up when a connection is active and you are sending mic audio. The audio level bar indicates correctly but the call window talk Icon fails to turn Red and your audio is not sent. In most cases, simply reinstalling QuickTime 3.0 fixes this problem."

QuickTime 3.0 and AVI files Readers (including Steven Strell and Evan Owen) continue to report problems opening AVI files in QuickTime 3.0. Typically they get an error message that says the "required compressor could not be found." This issue is covered in a TIL file from a couple of months ago. Essentially, the problem is that you need the Indeo Video 4.4 codec file, which is not yet available for the Mac version of QuickTime. Indeo Video 3.2 was included in previous versions of QuickTime.
