Symantec boosts its Palm protection

Symantec has released its AntiVirus 2001 for Palm OS, a new version of its software for handheld devices. According to Symantec, the product safeguards handhelds that use the Palm operating system from viruses and other malicious code.

AntiVirus 2001 for Palm OS is available for download from Symantec's online store for $39.95. It is also included in the Norton AntiVirus 2001 Professional Edition. Current owners of Norton AntiVirus can purchase Symantec's AntiVirus 2001 for Palm OS for $29.95 after a $10 mail-in rebate. McAfee recently released its VirusScan Wireless 2.0 for handhelds.
