iTunes Music Store gets its Irish up

Apple Computer on Thursday expanded its iTunes Music Store to Ireland, offering more than 700,000 songs at 99 Euro cents apiece ($1.30). Apple has offered the store in the UK, France and Germany since June 2004 and expanded to nine more European countries in November. The Irish store touts a number of Irish artists, beyond of course U2, which Apple is promoting everywhere.

Separately, Apple this week started accepting donations to the Red Cross from within both its U.S. and foreign iTunes Music Stores.
