This is why Microsoft and Dell will ultimately fail. Neither
company has a clue about style or quality. Not only do their
products look and feel like late 1990 warmed over hash.
(Evidence: MS's Vista Cruiser trying to play catch up by looking
and offering features like OS X.) They also have quality and
security issues that will doom them.

I love it! Hail Nano!

That explains why Apple has 3% of the computer market.

Style is vastly overrated. Apple will never be a major computer company because their biggest news is what color their computers will come in.

I still think the mini will come back
by lingsun September 17, 2005 10:01 AM PDT
The Nano is a lousy deal compared to the mini. It holds less songs. The previous accessories don't work. It really isn't that small either. It's not made for easy battery replacement. Five years from now 99% of the nano batteries will need replacement and that's going to be difficult and expensive. Ultimately, it will be interesting to see how many people are foolish and extravagant enough to spend $200 for a 2 gig ipod. I'll keep my 40gb iPod. I'll never buy the nano.

Style and leading edge technology will never meet you on the
street. I guess the Wall Street Journal, PC World Magazine, CNN,
Fortune, and the rest are all wrong on the Nano's virtues and only
tech savvy Mr. Bill is right?

Do you still own a typewriter?

MS Stagnation

Despite what corporate IT pros are saying, there is real trouble at
Microsoft. Business Week has some great insight into their
worrisome stagnation. Check out the "Related Items" links for what

Compatibility
by September 18, 2005 2:00 AM PDT
Until I can play my 40,000 song MP3 collection on an iPod I'll never own one. Why is it too much to ask for a portable media player that offers compatibility with MP3, WMA, WAV, RAR, QT, MPEG, and AVI? I didn't waste half of my life building a media collection only to buy evreything again through Apple. (Doesn't anyone remember that this is APPLE? Sorry folks, but APPLE will NEVER be cool. If you think it is, well, I feel for you.)
