Netscape Navigator 1.0: Netscape (1994) Andreessen left NCSA and took much of the Mosaic team to Silicon Valley with him. The browser they created for their new company looked much like Mosaic--in fact, they tried to name the company Mosaic Communications until NCSA protested. Navigator looked more like the modern browser with the "bookmark" menu and buttons with icons.
