eXcelon to speed Amazon marketplace

Amazon.com has tapped eXcelon to help speed up the information buyers and sellers exchange for its "marketplace business," the companies said Tuesday. eXcelon is providing the software to enable real-time updates of inventory availability so that a buyer has better information on what a seller has in stock.

Amazon's marketplace enables individuals and companies to sell used goods right next to the new goods Amazon sells. The software will reduce Amazon's costs because it can be used on Amazon's HP Linux servers, eXcelon said.
