eBay changes policy on outages

eBay has revised its outage policy. The San Jose-based auction company will now refund fees to sellers when its bidding system is down for more than one hour and when its title search is offline for more than one hour due to unplanned outages. The credits, which apply to all fees associated with each auction, will be available to sellers whose auctions were scheduled to end during the outage or up to one hour after the site resumes service.

Previously, eBay only gave credits when its bidding system was down for two or more hours.
