We love having guests on the show, but it's always good to get back to our bread and butter: making fun of silly tech news! Today we cover several stories that've slipped through the cracks, including the new "Alice in Wonderland" movie, a new autotune iPhone application in the works, a new Queen of Text Messaging, and a huge Calls from the Public.

(Credit: Disney)I hadn't heard about this, but Jeff shells out some news about the upcoming "Alice in Wonderland" remake, directed by 404-favorite Tim Burton. Check out the video below to see the pictures and hear our comments, but so far we're pretty impressed with the CGI and makeup used on Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, and Matt Lucas. Wilson, film buff extraordinaire, has a healthy dose of skepticism based on Burton's recent disasters, but we'll have to wait until March 2010 like everyone else to see how it all pans out.
We also have more news to report about Autotune. Turns out T-Pain is in the process of developing his own Autotune application for the iPhone. Expect the usual dose of hatred from Beff Jakalar, but I'm personally a huge fan of autotuning no matter how much it's overdone. How can you listen to this and not want to get up and dance?

Crackdown 2 will continue the open-world, over-the-top action game that made a splash in 2007 on Xbox 360. Microsoft announced the game at the company's E3 2009 press conference, but details of a launch date were not disclosed. Crackdown 2 will be an Xbox 360-exclusive title when it does actually release.
The follow-up to the sword-slashing original, Red Steel 2 will make full use of Wii MotionPlus, promising a 1:1 representation of your movements on screen. Developed by Ubisoft, the company plans to bundle the accessory with the game as well. While no release date has been set yet, Red Steel 2 will be available exclusively for the Wii when it does launch.
At the company's E3 press conference, Microsoft announced a new downloadable Xbox Live Arcade racing game that will use your Xbox Live avatar in game. While additional tracks will be available for purchase, Joy Ride will be completely free to download.
The breakthrough sci-fi role-playing-game is back in Mass Effect 2. Lead Commander Shepard through the galaxy once again as you interact with different alien races. Mass Effect 2 is set to blast off in early 2010 for the PC and Xbox 360.
Brutal Legend stars Jack Black as a rock 'n' roll roadie who must battle demons in hell. Also lending their voices to the project are Ozzy Osbourne and Lemmy Kilmeister. Brutal Legend is set to melt faces on October 13 for Xbox 360 and PS3.
APB will offer players an online world where they must assume the roles of gang members who continuously battle for turf. Developed by Realtime Worlds, APB will be available exclusively on Xbox 360 and PC.
Tony Hawk himself showed off his new game, Tony Hawk Ride at E3 2009. Gamers will use a wireless skateboard controller to jump, turn, and do tricks. Ride is expected this October for PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii.
Dante's Inferno is a shooter based on the infamous poem. The game takes you on a quest of vengeance and redemption as you make your way through the Nine Circles of Hell. From EA and developed by Visceral Games, Dante's Inferno will be released in early 2010 for Xbox 360 and PS3.
Here it is. It's the latest trailer for Batman: Arkham Asylum. The trailer is set to air Thursday night on MTV, but fortunately for us, Stephen Totilo, from MTV's Multiplayer, decided to post it early for everyone to drool over.
Eidos and developer Rocksteady Studios set expectations very high when the first trailer for "Batman: Arkham Asylum" debuted in November. The setting of Arkham Asylum combined with the dark tone of the story seemed to embody the feel of Batman's universe.
With Emmy Award-winning "Batman: The Animated Series" producer Paul Dini writing the game's story, and the voice-over stars Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill reprising their roles as Batman and the Joker from the series, respectively, all signs continue to indicate that "Batman: Arkham Asylum" is a game that Batman fans have been waiting a long, long time for.
This particular trailer starts off with a great Joker narration (voiced by Mark Hamill). Adding to Joker's dialogue is a focus on Batman's so-called Invisible Predator stealth combat techniques. After viewing the video, check out some of the screenshots of the game below.
