Journalist and author Anna David comes on the show to give us a glimpse into the world of high-class escorts as featured in her new book, "Bought." Wilson uses this opportunity to solicit tips on how to obtain one of these (books), and we dig deep into Anna's experience researching the topic. It's getting foggy in here.
Today's show is all about Anna, a well-established journalist and sex/relationship expert whose second book tells the story of a tepid journalist who gets slapped with an assignment to explore the steamy underbelly of high-class glitterati and the girls who will do whatever, and whoever, it takes to get what they want.
Though the story itself is fictitious, Anna tells us about the in-depth research involved, including the workers she met, a couple of crazy stories from the field, and the lessons she learned as a result. It's not a completely serious show, though. We have to call Anna out on her constant winking at Wilson, but soon discover it's purely platonic and uncontrollable. As it normally goes, Wilson misunderstands the situation and is currently perched in a tree outside her apartment with a telephoto lens and a mobile uploader, so keep checking back for those pics.
Don't miss out on this show. Anna is a really engaging storyteller and quickly becoming one of our favorite guests in the triumvirate alongside Natali Del Conte and Alison Rosen. We promise you'll see her in The 404 studio again very soon, but be sure to also buy the book and read about it for yourself!

If you enjoyed Eric Franklin's post on 8-bit NES-style hip-hop, you'll definitely enjoy Team Teamwork's "The Ocarina of Rhyme." It's a mix tape of mashups that combines hip-hop tracks with the score to the Zelda game Ocarina of Time.
Team Teamwork produced the mix, which features unique tracks by Spank Rock, Common, Aesop Rock, Clipse, and my personal pick: MF Doom. Most of the songs fit well with the background score; for example, in "Fumbling Over Words," artist Edan Portnoy's intensity melds seamlessly into the rumblings of the "Battle" music from OoT, but other tracks, like Common's classic "I Used to Love H.E.R.," just sound too silly over the theme from the Hyrule Marketplace.

(Credit: CNET Networks)What do Roto-Rooter, the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, and the ultimate high-tech bathroom for women have in common? We have no idea, but they all came together at an event in New York City for the launch of Roto-Rooter's Pimped Out Powder Room Sweepstakes, which is a follow-up to last year's Pimped Out John Sweepstakes.
Around 300,000 people signed up for a chance to win the ultimate john and you gotta think just as many will be interested for a shot at the powder room. Roto-Rooter calls this the "ultimate bathroom destination for the modern woman," but I can't see too many dudes complaining about hitting this head. (See the bathroom sans cheerleaders after the jump.)

So brown isn't your idea of black, you say? Pink either? Colorware feels your pigmentary pain and has come to the rescue.
Colorware, famous for tarting up everything from laptops and desktops to iPods and game consoles, is applying its considerable palette to the Zune with a rainbow of 28 color combinations in metallic or flat finishes. You can even make the wheel and buttons different colors for that Playskool look.

DaimlerChrysler's itty-bitty Smart ForTwo has been in the news recently, primarily because it's going to be made available to U.S. markets next year. The defining feature of the ForTwo is pretty much just the fact that it's about as small as a car can get without being designed for circus midgets, and it's more or less useless outside cities since it can't go all that fast, but that hasn't stopped one Greek auto enthusiast from turning it into an off-road vehicle.
Taking a hint from the design and functionality of Daimler-Chrysler's off-road Unimog trucks, the creator of the "Smart ForFun2" (the original Smart ForFun was created at the 2005 Athens Motor Show and involved the ForTwo's bigger sibling, the Smart ForFour) has been juiced up with a more powerful diesel engine, special shock absorbers, and wheels that are almost bigger than the original car itself.
And there you have it: the Smart ForTwo has finally been modified to be able to weather the horrors of driving in Boston.

TokyoFlash)
I read recently on Technabob that the latest watch from TokyoFlash's edgy PIMP line, also known for the Pleasure Seeker, was called the "Jive Turkey." What? I had never heard this term in my life before, and was wondering if some folks at TokyoFlash had been dabbling in illicit substances. Clearly, I'm just not up to date on my vintage pop culture.
According to Urban Dictionary, however, "jive turkey" is an old '70s term for someone who isn't particularly good at BSing but does it anyway. So, maybe this watch just pretends to tell time but really doesn't?
Anyway, aside from the dumb name, this could be a cool watch if you're into really flashy accessorizing. The interface resembles a cross between a vintage arcade game and some kind of Dark Side of the Moon-ish light show, and uses LEDs so you can read it in the dark. A nice novelty gadget, I suppose.
It sells in the U.S. for about $150.
This holiday season, give the gift that truly shows you care: a pimp watch. Those inspired timepiece artisans of Japan's Pimp-Watches.com have come up with a new addition to their popular LED line, this one dubbed "Pimpin Ain't Easy IP Gold." Though not as small as other LED watches, this 18k-plated limited edition features 72 lights that automatically spiral ever 2 minutes between 6 p.m. and 1 a.m. (must be a pimp thing) at a decidedly un-pimp-like price under $200. As Tokyoflash says, pimpin' was never so easy! (Cadillacs not included.)
