OK. So we promised you on last week's episode that we would do a single-purpose gadgets episode this week. Turns out, promising that type of thing in advance isn't such a good idea as we actually had to work to find gadgets that fit the theme. So we made it, but admittedly by the skin of our collective teeth. It's all worth it for the segments, though. Patience, young grasshopper!

The Bugatti Veyron is a car you rarely see, if ever, but we came across three at the 2009 Geneva auto show. Each of these cars was a special edition variant of the original Veyron launched in 2005.
When owners of Bugatti's freshly revealed uber-car, the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport, want to get some sunshine, they have to leave the removable polycarbonate hard top at home. But what happens in the event of sudden rain? Surely, Bugatti's engineers don't expect the world's motoring elite to futz around in the rain with a fabric top? As it turns out they do, but with a clever solution fitting a removable soft top has never been easier.
Stowed in the trunk (which, on the mid-engine Veyron, is located up front), the soft top opens and functions similar to an umbrella, complete with a center tube and handle, which the driver can carry back to the cockpit with one hand. Upon entering the vehicle, the driver attaches fasteners to the front and back locking the soft top in place, all from under the protection of the umbrella top's canopy.
You can see how it works near the end of the video below. You'll probably want to turn down the volume as the weird organ music in the background is pretty obnoxious.
At the British International Motor Show, we find a room full of supercars. Get ready to drool as we show you a Pagani, an Aston Martin, and a Bugatti, along with less well-known cars such as the Invicta and Gumpert.
The stuff of calendars and posters, exotics are cars you will rarely see in real life. Lucky indeed is the individual who gets to see a Bentley Continental GT Speed or a Spyker C8 Aileron drive by on the street. We've gone through our auto show photographs to select rare new production cars.

At any auto show there is a world of exclusivity that lives just beyond the velvet ropes. Brian Cooley tries to keep his chin off the floor as he checks out the new supercars being unveiled at this year's Geneva auto show.

Forget about phones and MP3 players--the next designer gadget is the toaster. And leading the way to branded nirvana are, of all things, sportscar dynasties.
Porsche joined the fray with a brushed-aluminum model that looks good enough for the track, and now Bugatti has gotten into the act with an appliance of its own. True to its exacting nature, Bugatti has included "six browning-control options" for its "Volo" toaster, Gadgetizer says, with especially wide slots to accommodate different sizes of baked goods. But it's the red Italian flair that drew us to it, of course.
Unfortunately there's no indication that it will make pirate toast. But at least we haven't found any signs of Sanrio--yet.

Bugatti is a name that would never be associated with "ordinary," so it makes perfect sense that the music system for its "Veyron" uber-car would be something special. And they certainly didn't disappoint anyone with the German-made Burmester system that was created specifically to meet the unique needs and design of the Veyron, one of the world's fastest street-legal cars.
Here's why an off-the-shelf stereo from Best Buy wouldn't have done the trick: The Burmeister CD player alone is constructed to operate without a single skip at 250 miles per hour. Sybarites adds that the control panel is designed to be seen at such high speeds without distracting the driver. (We're thankful for this feature in particular.)
Still, we can't help but wonder: What do you listen to at 250 miles per hour?
