RIM BlackBerry Curve
(Credit: Corinne Schulze/CNET Networks)For those of you who have been making regular visits or calls to your local Cingular/AT&T store about a certain BlackBerry Curve, you can stop reciting "Is it here yet? Is it here yet?" Today, the carrier announced that the Curve will be available in stores and online, starting tomorrow, for a reasonable $199.99 with a two-year contract and after mail-in rebates.
Some highlights of the Curve include a 2-megapixel camera, a built-in spell checker, noise-cancellation technology, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Bluetooth 2.0. The device also supports a number of AT&T's add-on services, including push-to-talk, AT&T Music, and TeleNav maps. It's lacking Wi-Fi and 3G support, but this sexy little thing of a smart phone offers a well-rounded set of features that should attract its fair share of fans. Check out our full review and video for all the details.

(Credit: Corinne Schulze/CNET Networks)Ooo, we'd hate to be a RIM BlackBerry 8800 owner right now. Just months after the 8800's release, Research In Motion and Cingular/AT&T have released a sleeker, sexier model that will make you wish that you had waited a while longer. How the world of technology can be so cruel. The RIM BlackBerry Curve (aka BlackBerry 8300) is the smallest and lightest, full-QWERTY BlackBerry to date, and we're absolutely stoked on the design. We want to be clear that the BlackBerry 8300 is more about the revamped design rather than new features (read: still no Wi-Fi or 3G support), but what can we say? We're a sucker for a pretty face. Unfortunately, Cingular didn't announce an exact availability date or pricing today, but we'll keep you updated as we get the information. In the meantime, check out our full review and First Look video of the BlackBerry Curve for all the glorious details.

BlackBerry 8830 for Verizon?
(Credit: Engadget)Engadget Mobile reported a few new details about the BlackBerry 8830 (codenamed Cyclone) today and those details certainly eyebrow-raising. Verizon is rumored to be the carrier, and its suggested release date is May 14 for the business channel and May 29 for the consumer market. Other details include a microSD card slot and a media player that supports...iTunes music.
While we don't see a problem with the carrier details, we really can't see the iTunes deal going down--a RIM and Apple collaboration just doesn't seem too realistic to us. That said, we're still looking forward to the 8830, no matter what its specs are. Stay tuned for more details as they emerge.
Can the BlackBerry 8300 come out and play?
(Credit: Boy Genius Report)Probably not, but damn, we wish it would. In our usual preparation for CTIA 2007, we've been talking with all the major phone manufacturers and carriers to see if we can get any dirt about upcoming announcements, and BlackBerry maker Research in Motion has already told us that they won't be unveiling any new devices at the show.
The BlackBerry 8300 first got us drooling when it appeared on a Spanish tech site, and our admiration has grown ever since. According to the Boy Genius Report, which has a number of images and video for your viewing pleasure, there will be several versions of the 8300, including a camera and a Wi-Fi-equipped BlackBerry 8320. They also are reporting that the 8320 may land at T-Mobile, while the 8300 is Cingular/AT&T-bound. For the record, both carriers said they wouldn't have any huge product unveils either at CTIA, but we're kind of hoping they're just trying to pull a fast one us. Yes? Maybe? No? OK, fine.
If this is the BlackBerry 8300, then me-rrrow.
(Credit: Mentesdigitales via Engadget Mobile)Man, the RIM BlackBerry 8800 has to feel a little jilted. The sleek, full QWERTY device just came out over a week ago, and already we've moved on to the next big thing. That's a pretty quick 15 minutes of fame, even in the tech world. But can you really blame us? Not when there are rumors of a Wi-Fi-enabled BlackBerry 8820 out in the wild. And now, thanks to Spanish site Mentesdigitales, we can drool over another rumored RIM device, the BlackBerry 8300, aka "Daytona." This sexy beast sports an attractive silver casing as well as the Pearl-like trackball. It's also said to have integrated Wi-Fi as well as a 2-megapixel camera with flash and built-in GPS. Not a ton of other information is available right now--you know, the stuff we really want to know like release date, pricing, carrier, and 3G support--but you can bet we'll be keeping close tabs on both the BlackBerry 8820 and 8300.
