Mark de Visser has begun a new job as chief marketing officer of Cupertino, Calif.-based Zend Technologies, a company that specializes in the PHP software widely used to power dynamic Web sites. De Visser announced the move in an e-mail Wednesday.

De Visser previously worked at Java developer tool company Agitar, and before that worked for Linux leader Red Hat.
