Yahoo upholds Firefox avatar pledge
Late last year, Mozilla launched the full version of its Firefox browser, which has made dents in IE's market share. In February, Yahoo openly showed its support for Firefox by launching a toolbar for the open-source browser. A month later Yahoo pledged to make avatars available to Firefox users, but did not specify when that would happen.

Of course no new features will be added to Yahoo Messenger to the
Mac it will just become a universal binary.
in an email from yahoo "we are working on it" is all I got out of
them, and it seems they are "working on it" for years now, perhaps
they have only worker coding for the mac it he is truely a yahoo!
