Yahoo updates toolbar for Firefox

Yahoo on Tuesday night plans to unveil an updated toolbar for the Mozilla Foundation's open-source Firefox browser that offers the company's Anti-Spy adware and spyware removal software for computers running Microsoft's Windows operating system. Yahoo, which recently backtracked on a pledge to make all its software compatible with Firefox, also will make its basic Firefox toolbar, without Anti-Spy, available for use with Linux and Apple Computer's Macintosh operating systems. The toolbars and Anti-Spy software are free.

The Linux and Mac Firefox toolbars offer persistent bookmarks, site-specific search capability, Babelfish-based site translation, and RSS/Atom subscription feed capabilities.

Ruining an already excellenent browser....
It's Firefox, who needs this crap? With Firefox you don't need cheap third party software like with Internet Explorer. Yahoo is wasting their time. But I wonder, how long will it be before there is an MSN Toolbar for Firefox :-)

you know i really like firefox, but this update is no good and has ruined yahoo home page and e-mail.
So now I have to find another browser and can no longer use firefox, or I have to go find another home page like Google, Aol, Msn, or whatever. Maybe they should really test it good before making us download the crap!
