In an effort to spread the message of AIDS awareness worldwide, the United Kingdom's Health Education Authority has launched the official World AIDS Day 95 Web site. The site encourages visitors to "safe the Net" by spreading the word about AIDS awareness.
The site features information on the disease and a gallery of celebrity-designed red ribbons that visitors can copy to their own site. A red ribbon screensaver and a WAD 95 poster are also available for downloading.
A spokesperson for the Health Education Authority says the organization is hopeful that putting its message on the Net will help promote AIDS awareness, especially among men under 30, a high online-use group, as well as a high-risk group for the disease.
World AIDS Day is December 1. The Web site will be up until the end of January.
