The site features information on the disease and a gallery of celebrity-designed red ribbons that visitors can copy to their own site. A red ribbon screensaver and a WAD 95 poster are also available for downloading.
A spokesperson for the Health Education Authority says the organization is hopeful that putting its message on the Net will help promote AIDS awareness, especially among men under 30, a high online-use group, as well as a high-risk group for the disease.
World AIDS Day is December 1. The Web site will be up until the end of January.
