Two companies focused on business work-flow software, Metastorm and CommerceQuest, announced a merger on Wednesday under the Metastorm name. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Metastorm has a set of tools specialized for automating work-flow processes that involve people, such as routing an insurance claim. CommerceQuest's software is for linking back-end systems. Both companies' products are Java-based. The combined companies will have 1,200 customers.
