difficult-to-operate?
Say what? It operates just like the 118M PS2s out there.

Difficult to program maybe, but all new systems...even most new computers have multiple cores now. Get over it.

It's called business
If they can make more profit by developing for "two GameCubes taped together" - they will do it.

This is business. Hopefully Sony would provide way to develop cheaper games.

As huge fan of Tetris, I hardly see Cell as advantage. I personally were writing Tetris clones every two years - starting with DOS and Turbo Pascal. It ran fine on 4MHz of those days ;)

Bottom line, is that to unleash true potential of PS3 would take a lot of time and lot of money.

I applaud Wii for
encouraging SAME ROOM co-operative gameplay. Just about every game has some sort of split screen co-op. The problem with 360 and PS3 is that they're so focused on the online experience that they're losing sight of what made co-op so popular. There are some people who would rather be in the same room with their friends, playing split screen and trash talking together.

For example - I have friends with 360s. One has Live, the other has no internet. The one with Live doesn't like the games I play and vice versa. The one without internet doesn't even play his 360, but when he's at my house we play it all the time, mostly RS:Vegas. That's because he'd rather play split screen or system link (but he doesn't own the game, so that's out) than to worry about paying for an internet connection.

The Wii, on the other hand, encourages a group of friends to get together in the same room and play, and I applaud them for maintaining this.
