Wibhu changes name, lands $10.25 million

Wireless networking company Wibhu Technologies this week changed its name to AirTight Networks and secured $10.25 million in financing. The Series A investment was lead by Walden International and joined by Blueprint Ventures, Granite Ventures and Trident Capital. AirTight said it will use the funds to boost sales and marketing efforts.

In the announcement, AirTight named David King, former head of Proxim, as its CEO. It also appointed Brad Taylor as vice president of sales and added three new board members: Danial Faizullabhoy, managing director of Walden International, Eric Zimits, managing director of Granite Ventures, and Mark Smith, former vice president-worldwide sales for NetScreen Technologies.
