Whitman trust to sell eBay shares

A trust controlled by eBay Chief Executive Meg Whitman filed on Monday to sell 405,000 shares, worth about $22.4 million, of the company's stock. The Sweetwater Trust, which filed to sell 600,000 shares, about $27.9 million worth, last May and another 600,000 shares last November, held about 3.8 million eBay shares as of last April.

eBay executives have registered to sell thousands of shares of the company stock in recent weeks. Among those who have filed to sell shares: Matthew Bannick, senior vice president in charge of eBay's international operations; Chief Financial Officer Rajiv Dutta; and Jeff Jordan, senior vice president and general manager of eBay's U.S. operations.
