WalMart shapes publi opinion all by itself....
..... bloggers aren't going to improve that situation. No amount of
PD can counter the fundamental faults of WalMart and the way it
rips the business and cash out of every community it enters. It may
be legal, but it sure as hell is a cultural disaster.

Make ALL Employers pay 8% of their payroll towards healthcare
I guess I'm one of those people who shops at WalMart, my wife works at WalMart, and my opinion of WalMart is, if you don't want a WalMart in your neighborhood, don't shop there. If you think WalMart treats its employee's unfairly, don't work there. After all, there are plenty of McDonalds, Wendy's, and Burger Kings out there. WHAT - you don't want to work fast food? And where in the world does this "8% of your payroll towards healthcare" come from? After all, the federal government doesn't spend that. If you want to make that mandatory for anyone, make it mandatory for EVERYONE. No problem. If you don't like what WalMart pays, either raise minimum wage, or deal with your minimum wage skill level accordingly.

The Walmart mentality is really pathetic....
,...but it may be unavoidable when the WalMart impact eliminates
any other local option. There is no real difference between working
at WalMart and at MacDonalds. The pay is about the same, and the
hope of retirement is equally low. And both companies siphon the
capital out of their area.

But for many, WalMart is as good as it's going to get.

And that is really sad.
