Vodafone-Vivendi venture chooses Google

Vizzavi, the joint Net venture of mobile communications company Vodafone and European media company Vivendi Universal, has chosen Google as its default search provider. Vodafone has more than 80 million subscribers. Vizzavi, which operates portals in the United Kingdom, France and the Netherlands, offers its services and content on both desktop PCs and mobile devices. Launched in May 2000 with headquarters in London, the joint venture plans to expand in Europe.
