Verity, Factiva team on corporate search
Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Verity sells technology that lets companies classify, store, manage and search internal data. New York-based Factiva, a joint venture between Dow Jones and Reuters, provides software that classifies data for specialized industries such as health care. As part of the deal, customers will have access to Factiva's content archive of more than 200 million documents from about 8,000 content sources. "Integrating one of Factiva's industry-specific taxonomies with Verity's comprehensive classification tools will add significant value to an enterprise's search and content organization," Clare Hart, Factiva's CEO, said in a statement.
