Venetica kicks off with $7 million

Venetica announced Tuesday it raised a $7 million first round of funding. Charles River Ventures and General Catalyst Partners contributed to the round.

Charlotte, N.C.-based Venetica develops content integration software. The company's VeniceBridge product is designed to reduce the complexity of creating content-rich applications such as portals, collaborative applications and customer relationship management software.
