Turbolinux joins Linux lab

Asian Linux seller Turbolinux is once again a member of the Open Source Development Lab, a consortium that computing companies sponsor. Turbolinux had earlier joined the lab, which aims to improve the Unixlike operating system but let its membership lapse, an OSDL representative said.

OSDL's sway has increased with the enlistment of Linux founder Linus Torvalds and key deputy Andrew Morton. Miracle Linux--a joint venture that is majority-owned by Oracle--is also an OSDL member.
