Search start-up Trovix was set to announce on Wednesday the release of its first product and the completion of a series A round of funding. The Mountain View, Calif.-based company is receiving $5.25 million of private equity financing from US Venture Partners, 3i and Stanford University.

Trovix' first product, Trovix Recruit, is a Web-based application for corporate customers interested in searching resumes and tracking job candidates in financial services, information technology, legal, pharmaceutical and other industries. Customers include Juniper Networks, Linksys, Palm, Rambus and VMware.
