Towerstream beams into Los Angeles

Towerstream on Wednesday announced the expansion of its wireless broadband service to Los Angeles, adding to its existing presence in New York, Boston and Providence/Newport, R.I. It plans to expand its service to San Francisco next.

The company offers broadband Internet access using a "fixed" wireless network for business customers at a starting speed of 1.5mbps or custom tiers at 100mbps and 1gbps. Towerstream has about 750 clients subscribing to its service.
