At least HD-DVD lets you rip the movie on the hard drive, even though it's still filled with DRM.
IMO, both of these new formats will not take off and will lose in the long run as people realize it's not worth the expense.
was a mediocre idea designed to appease the current DVD
publishers. It was a cheap solution - and that was it's downfall.
Cheap but too small, old technology, and old mind set. But, it was a
shot, just not a good one. And the world is passing Toshiba by.
Just what does Toshiba make anymore in he consumer electronic
area?
