- I wrote a related book, "Geek My Ride." One appendix has a list of the many laws related to tech in cars, and I discuss much of the dangers and how to mitigate them. Just like any new generation of technology, the auto manufacturers are likely going to get it wrong the first time, but eventually we'll smooth out the rough spots and better our average and long-run road trips.
