I currently use:
Digital VoIP phone
Digital cable TV
Digital DVR Recording (Tivo)
Digital cable internet
Digital music on Rhapsody and Pandora, on my computer, all day long (great services by the way.)
It all works great. I love the convenience and quality of it all.
Rhapsody and Pandora sound great from my computer pushed through a regular, analogue, stereo amp. I don't need Rhapsody on my bad-sounding (for music), compressed-audio TV signal!
Listen to the cable music stations you have now. They sound thin, compressed, bad, etc. They don't have the "meat" (freaquency range) your stereo systems do.
Rhapsody and Pandora sound Much better from the internet through a stereo system.
C'mon industry, get it together. Put it all on our computers. Make it easy to get what we want, when we want. Please!
