Thin-client maker Wyse gets new CEO

Wyse Technology, a company that sells stripped-down computers known as thin clients, announced $35 million in funding and a new chief executive on Monday. John Kish, who ran four start-ups after leaving Oracle's desktop products division, said in a statement that he's banking on expanding technology use in China and India, as well as the arrival of more advanced networks to bring new growth to the thin-client market.

Garnett & Helfrich Capital provided the funding. In addition, the San Jose, Calif.-based company hired Robbie Robinson as senior vice president of worldwide sales and Wolfgang Staehle as president of operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
