T-Mobile spreads BlackBerry to more devices

T-Mobile said on Thursday it will offer BlackBerry service on a wider range of devices, including phones from Nokia and Sony Ericsson. The wireless carrier said it will offer customers in Europe the option of getting Research In Motion's signature e-mail service for the MDA II, Sony Ericsson P900 And Nokia 6820 devices later this year.

"We are pleased to be working with T-Mobile to provide end-user customers with the BlackBerry experience on a range of wireless devices to suit individual needs and preferences," said Mark Guibert, a RIM vice president, said in a statement. The move is part of the company's effort to license its push e-mail technology, which lets business customers access their e-mail via RIM's server software from a variety of devices.
