T-Mobile begins selling Sidekick II

Cellular carrier T-Mobile on Wednesday began selling a new, slimmer version of Danger's mobile device, the Sidekick II. The device is 25 percent thinner than its predecessor and costs $299.

The cellular company is offering a $50 instant rebate on the device until Sept. 30 for those who buy it through its online store or over the phone. The device allows owners to make phone calls, surf the Web, e-mail, instant message and take pictures using the integrated camera. The Sidekick II also comes with a swivel color screen and keyboard.
