Syntax releases latest LCD TVs

Electronics maker Syntax will begin selling 32-inch and 37-inch televisions based on liquid crystal display technology, the company announced at the iSuppli Flat Information Displays conference in San Francisco earlier this week.

The 32-inch Olevia LCD TV will cost $1,999 when it comes out in late November, and the 37-inch model--which comes out in late December--will cost $2,999. The company also began selling its $2,099 50-inch Olevia television using liquid crystal on silicon technology.

Syntax is a relative newcomer to the television business but it's competing with larger brand names by selling products with an eye toward value.
