Swedes win pro-gaming tournament

Swedish team NIP took the top prize of $50,000 over the weekend at the world championships of the Cyberathlete Professional League, the leading promoter in the nascent field of professional gaming. NIP beat U.S. team Xtreme3 in the shooting game "Half Life: Counter Strike," according to the league. Other major winners at the Dallas event included league champion Jonathan "Fatality" Wendel, who received a new Ford Focus for placing first in "Aliens vs. Predator 2."
